Michael B. Miller Laboratory
Single-Cell Biology and Neurodegenerative Disease
We seek to understand the mechanisms underpinning neurodegenerative diseases and aging, using a combination of neuropathological, single-cell, genomics, and biochemical approaches. One major scientific focus is on the causes and impact of somatic mutations in brain cells in neurodegeneration.
The Miller lab is located on the Harvard Medical School Longwood Campus. We are based in the Brigham and Women's Hospital Department of Pathology and are affiliated with the Brigham and Women's Hospital Department of Neurology, Boston Children's Hospital Division of Genetics and Genomics, and the Broad Institute.
The lab was founded in 2022 and we are excited to build a vibrant and diverse lab group! As a community, we emphasize training the next generation of scientists and physicians to look for answers to important questions while having fun alongside colleagues and collaborators.
